About Solar Focal Point

Solar Focal Point is my personal attempt to collect and organize the vast amount of information about solar energy. A good deal of the material on this site is either a direct reference to others work, a paraphrase of others work, or an extrapolation of others work. Some portion is my contribution with ideas I believe to be unique.

I will try to present personal experience on a "do it yourself" level to demonstrate different technologies. When possible, I will document these experiments and provide video and photos to bring the technology to life. My hope is that this site will become a primary reference for innovators in the field.

I also hope it will become an honest filter for people to decide when something is a task they can take on or when it is best to pay a professional. Not every idea presented here will be appropriate for all. Some technologies are too dangerous, some are too difficult to fabricate, and some are too expensive for all but the most skilled individual. I hope to provide enough information for people to make informed decisions about projects so that they can have the best possible outcomes.
